58mm vs 80mm — which should you get?
| Size | Best for |
|---|---|
| 58mm | Small shops, kirana stores, cafes — compact receipts, lower paper cost |
| 80mm | Restaurants, retail with detailed itemized bills, wider layout |
BillEasy supports both sizes out of the box — just select your paper width in printer settings.
Pairing your printer — step by step
- Turn the printer ON and enable Bluetooth pairing mode (on most printers, holding the power button for 3 seconds puts it into pairing mode — check your printer's manual to confirm).
- Open Bluetooth settings on your phone or laptop and look for your printer under "Available Devices" (usually named something like
MTP-II,Printer, or your printer brand). - Pair it. If a PIN is requested, most printers default to
0000or1234. - Open BillEasy → Settings → Printer → select your paired printer.
- Run a test print — open any bill and tap "Print." Double-check alignment the first time.
💡 On Android, if the app asks for Bluetooth permission the first time you connect, make sure to tap Allow — otherwise your printer list will show up empty.
Common problems and how to fix them
Printer doesn't show up in the list
- Confirm the printer's Bluetooth is ON and it's in pairing mode
- Make sure your phone's Bluetooth is ON, and Location permission is also ON (Android requires Location for Bluetooth scanning)
- Check that the printer isn't already paired to another device — most printers connect to only one device at a time
Paired successfully, but nothing prints
- Check that paper is loaded correctly (the shiny/coated side of thermal paper should face up)
- Check the printer's battery isn't low — many printers silently skip printing on low battery without a warning
- Confirm the correct paper width (58mm/80mm) is selected in the app — the wrong width can cause blank or cut-off prints
Prints, but the output is blank or faint
- Thermal paper is heat-sensitive — old or low-quality paper can produce faint prints
- The correct side (coated/shiny side) needs to face the print head — loading it backwards prints nothing at all
- The printer's density/darkness setting may be too low — check your printer's manual for how to adjust it
Printer keeps disconnecting
- Keep your phone and printer close together — Bluetooth range is limited
- Avoid having other Bluetooth devices (headphones, speakers) connected at the same time — interference can cause disconnects
✅ Once your printer is set up in BillEasy, every bill prints in a single tap — no need to reconnect each time (unless the printer itself is turned off).

Offline printing works too
Even if your internet goes down, BillEasy can still create a bill and print it offline — the bill data is saved locally and syncs to the cloud automatically as soon as internet is back. So printer connectivity only needs Bluetooth, not internet.
